Abstract:
With the fast development of 4G and the exponential growth in mobile data traffic, the phase of 5th
generation mobile networks or 5th generation wireless systems (in short 5G) is coming. The 3GPP
standards body estimated that 5G will enter our daily life in 2021. Do you want to get ahead of the curve?
Learn what 5G stands for, how this next-generation technology will affect smartphone users? Come to this
seminar and get some insights into what a 5G wireless communication system might look like in future.
Speaker Bio:
Yupeng Jia earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester in 2012. Thereafter
he joined National Instruments as a Systems Engineer, with main research interests in RF wireless
communications and statistical signal processing. He is the author of over 30 refereed publications and is a
member of the IEEE.
