Course Approval Update a. NRM 4307 new course proposal – approved by AC on 10/20/15 b. LARC 6001 new course proposal – approved by AC on 10/20/15 c. PSS 2310 course change proposal – approved by AC on 10/20/15 d. ACOM 3302 new course proposal – approved by committee on 11/19/15; sent to AC on 11/25/15 2. Pending Course Approvals a. AGED 4312 new course proposal – sent to committee on 11/13/15 b. ANSC 2404 course change proposal – approved by committee on 11/19/15 c. AGSC 2310 new course proposal –tabled on 9/24/15 3. Core Course Proposals a. ANSC 2410 multicultural – submitted to core committee on 11/25/15 b. ANSC 3404 (will change to 2404) life science – submitted to core committee on 11/25/15 c. NRM 1300 multicultural – submitted to core committee on 10/28/15 d. PSS 2310 creative arts – submitted to core committee on 10/28/15 e. LARC 2302 multicultural – submitted to core committee on 10/28/15 Pending courses must be revised and approved by the committee by December 1st for grad courses and December 11th for undergrad courses to be sent to the next Academic Council meeting. New course proposals are due to Savannah Leonard or Janie Lopez by November 10th to be added to the next college curriculum committee meeting agenda 4. An Independent Study Course Contract was handed out for all departments to use as the syllabus for those courses. The contract can be modified as needed. Per university guidelines departments must secure a copy of the syllabus in a file or upload to digital measures. 5. Section uniformity guidelines were handed out to be given the department schedulers. 6. An announcement was made that the Ag Ed & Comm department approved AGLS to now be offered as a concentration for the Bachelor of General Studies degree program. 7. There was a reminder announcement about the undergraduate commencement ceremony on December 12th at 1:30 p.m. There will be a college reception immediately following the ceremony in Animal & Food Sciences. Deadlines to receive transfer transcript for December grads is December 18th. Students who do not turn in their transcript before December 12th will not be given their diploma at graduation. The next college curriculum meeting is set for December 17th. This meeting will be conducted via email due to the holiday break. New course proposals to be considered at this meeting must be submitted by December 10th.
