With the rapid proliferation of Internet use and the increasing
number of computers/electronic devices in our daily lives, it is
challenging to protect ourselves from hackers, scammers,
viruses, and from other online dangers.
The TTU Office of the CIO, will cover the most common
pitfalls and ways to avoid them, while reaping the
benefits of technology.
As part of TTU Cyber Security Awareness Month, the TTU Office of the CIO will
provide an overview of online dangers and how to avoid them.
Topics include:
Cyber security while traveling
Managing email – common
scams and frauds
Social networking
Online banking/shopping
Online searching
Passwords
Managing and securing your
personal data
Mobile devices
Protecting your
home computer systems

It is an understatement to say that the Internet and social media have changed
the way we communicate and how our reputation is established.
Join IT Division professionals for a “lunch and learn” session on what
and what not to do online to protect your reputation.
The IT Division will provide cookies and drinks,
