Born and bred into agriculture, she has always been a part of the industry. “I have a sister, Landi, who is six years older, and she was always at the barn or doing Share-the-Fun in 4-H, and I always tagged along,” she said. more » The depletion of the Ogallala Aquifer has made headlines over the past several years and has been a big concern to many who live on the Southern Great Plains region, including the Texas High Plains, along with portions of Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. The aquifer encompasses more than 170,000 square miles, making it a sizeable and vital water resource. more » Added Accessibility; Historic Agricultural Science Building gets major ADA upgrade Texas Tech University’s Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics got a significant modernization boost today (Jan. 14) with the opening a new two-level ramp on the northeast corner of the historic building. His last day will be January 31. The team won the pork judging, specifications, and placing divisions. “I’m proud of the consistency we have developed in our judging program here at Tech,” said Texas Tech’s Mark Miller. Wool Judging Team finishes second, third at National Western Stock Show Texas Tech’s Wool Judging Team finished a consistent second and third with their two teams at the National Western Stock Show in Denver. In addition, the team had the top three individuals in both the reasons and placing divisions. Individually, Tech had three members finish in the top 10 overall. more » Strong start for Tech’s Livestock Judging Team at National Western Stock Show Texas Tech’s Livestock Judging Team began their spring season with first and second place finishes at the National Western Stock Show in Denver.
