The position is based at SFU in close collaboration with a local industry partner in the Metro Vancouver region. We invite applications from experienced researchers seeking to advance their research careers relating to advanced materials for clean energy applications. A graduate degree (preferably a PhD) in chemistry, materials science, or chemical/materials engineering is required. The ideal candidate is an established expert in the synthesis and nano-engineering of two-dimensional, layered nanomaterials and will be very eager to conduct novel, innovative research in this field, with a goal to develop new commercial technology. Proven experience with hydrogen storage or related technologies would be an asset. The salary level is commensurate with experience and competitive with industry standards, and the position will start on December 1st, 2015 or as soon as possible.
