Question: Comments on course effectiveness

I think the homework should be structured such that the material is built up through more problems. Instead of having suggested and required problems, make more of them required and assure that they logically flow from easy to difficult.

The textbook is downright awful.

I liked this course although some material seemed too difficult, mainly pertaining to labs.

Math is cool. The course moves very fast, but I'm usually able to keep up.

The syllabus had a week-by-week layout of all the material that was going to be taught, as well as any homework that was expected of us. This was very helpful throughout the entire course, and especially helped on days when I couldn't attend class.

The course was taught in a very straightforward way. We learned what we needed to succeed and we were also supplemented a few problems in order to further understand the concepts we were learning. The course was a little fast paced but it worked out well. I really enjoyed the course.

The structure of the lectures are great and the examples were great.

The labs were always helpful, by having more difficult questions.

Absolutely amazing course and I'm sure the reason why it was so good was because of the instructor. Tried the other teacher and then switched after sitting in on Bhargav's class.

Each assignment generally consisted of few questions, hence giving each more value causing each mistake all the more costly. However this method was still effective for learning and and quick feedback always helps.

The class followed the syllabus very well. There was always a weeks schedule on the board that made being prepared for class very easy.

KARAMCHED He was a nice guy and tried his best to keep the material interesting.

KARAMCHED Bhargav was an awesome teacher, was respectful to the simplest questions. Did a good job

KARAMCHED Really good instructor and cool guy. He gets me stoked on math whenever I'm in class.

KARAMCHED Bhargav was always willing to help his students and he showed a great love for the subject, which really helped me to find enjoyment as well.

Bhargav I think did really well. He knew his stuff and he knew how to break complicated concepts into easier parts, which made it easier to understand.

He was willing to work with you out of class so that you could fully understand all the concepts you were having a hard time on. He was very understanding and challenged us through out the course. He also taught us how we will use the things we learned in our future as engineers. In all, Bhargav was very resourceful and understanding. He is a great teacher.

Bhargav is an amazing teacher. He is highly effective at teaching calculus and he makes it fun. I've seen him improve in his teaching skills since the beginning of the year. He appears to be very passionate about math.

He was very knowledgeable about the course subject. Also, he was very dedicated to his teaching position and us students, he offered several office hours and always offered more help by appointment.

He explained things very well and was understanding. Had a manageable workload. I enjoyed having he small quizzes a every week which helped me retain the material

Best math teacher I have ever had. He is extremely talented in making math fun, useful and, more importantly, understandable. Perhaps one of the best ways he helped us understand the material was that he would give us, on several different occasions, real life examples of when we would use the material we were covering. Doing this really helped us build off of our real life experience and make it more meaningful. I cannot wait to take another class from this teacher. I will constantly be on the lookout for more courses taught by him. I would even be willing to take other courses JUST so I could take another course from him. Bhargav is very passionate about the field and makes math addictive and extremely fun to learn. You need more teachers like him--or have him teach more classes--or both.

KARAMCHED

Overall a very good pace, while still not over working. A suggestion might be to have students try examples by themselves first or on the board (if in small classroom) before doing it with them or for them. Still very good job.

KARAMCHED He kept us interested with humor. He is obviously very intelligent.
