Ph.D. Third year Field Declaration -To assist and help get dissertation research started in a timely fashion, you are required
to declare a field(s) at the beginning of the third year (International, Development, Micro,
Macro or others as offered).
-Third year students must participate in the seminars and workshops associated with the
declared field(s) of interest.
-In fall quarter, third year students must enroll in Econ 296A and the Directed Reading
sequence, Econ 295, also in winter and spring.
