KBA-II — Key Features
 8-place alpha/numeric liquid crystal display (LCD) with backlight
option;
 Magnet zero reset;
 Magnet interval length selection;
 Selectable intervals: 1hr to 12 hrs., 1 day to 99 days, and continuous;
 Magnet interval data read out;
 Grand total and 24 recorded intervals;
 5-year lithium batteries;
 Simple to operate;
 Waterproof / compact case;
 1/4" (6 mm) thick walled aluminum case, with lock and chain.
KBA-II — Operation
The KBA-II Timesaver, traffic counter will
count in intervals of days, or hours (in
increments from 1 to 12 hours). You can
log up to 24 intervals and the counter
automatically stops after the last interval,
for later viewing. Each logged interval will
hold up to 9999 counts. The KBA II, can
display the current total, each logged
interval, and a real time update as
vehicles pass over the road tube.

Important Note
The counter is designed to
tally one-half count for
each axle on the vehicle.
Example, a two axle truck
towing a two axle trailer
will show up as a double
count.

The counter will
automatically shut off after
completing the 24 hours of
counting.

Instructions
Recommended Tools: Hammer
Step 1. Clear road surface of sharp debris
that may cut the rubber tube;
Step 2. Secure plugged end of the road
tube to the road edge;
Step 3. Secure counter end of the road
tube to the opposite road edge;
Step 4. Reset (or zero) the counter and make
a note of the time (on the Traffic Counter
Data Collection Sheet).

extracting and

This must be set to
“Yes” by swiping with
the magnet on the “T”
side of the counter,
after you have
installed the counter
at the sampling site.

Total Counts
“Log no00” corresponds to the
first hour (or interval period) of
counts, Log no01 corresponds to
the second hour of counts, and
so on.

Number of counts for the 1
hour interval (Log no00). This
is the number you will be
entering into the summary
sheet
