PREFACE
The official weather station for Corvallis is at the Oregon State
University Hyslop Field Laboratory, six miles northeast of Corvallis,
Oregon, on Highway 20. On the main Willamette Valley floor at 251 feet
above sea level, latitude 44° 25'N, longitude 123° 15'W, the station is
operated by the Oregon State University Crop Science Department in cooperation with the National Weather Service.
Normal temperatures and, precipitation are based on a standard 30-year
period, updated at the end of each decade. Normals used in this publication
are for the 1951-1980 period.
