NOTE: By signing this statement the investigator acknowledges that all USA Safety and Environmental requirements will be satisfied before acquiring and utilizing any hazardous materials. In addition any related construction and or renovation plans will be submitted for prior approval before initiation. All investigators/grant applicants utilizing this type of review process are required to submit this signed statement with the university transmittal sheet indicating submission of a grant application to the respective agency. Many agencies provide a short window between the notice of funding and the start date. This window may be too short for normal Safety and Environmental Compliance Department approvals. If you believe this is true for the agency to which you applied, please contact the Safety and Environmental Compliance office to schedule a brief conference with department representatives prior to the notice of funding in order to avoid delays in the start date.
