Jr. 15591 GA Hwy 99, Darien, GA 31305 History of AshanƟlly THE ASHANTILLY CENTER The Ashan lly Center, located in Darien, GA, was originally the home of Thomas Spaulding. Spaulding was a na ve Georgian and legislator whose ancestors traveled to Georgia from Scotland in the 16th century. His house, some me referred to as “Old Tabby” due to the nature of its construc on, burned in 1938. The home was later rebuilt by Bill Haynes whose ongoing project at Ashan lly became a home for re ring family members to retreat.
