Players choose an opponent from the game lobby or play Professor Garfield. Players decide to play the game at the "beginner" or "expert" level then the categories are chosen and the game begins! The G-Cube game board is made up of nine boxes and is played like tictac-toe. Winning three boxes or questions in a row earns the player an extra three pOints during each of the three matches. Each opponent chooses to answer a question from these five categories: Science, Reading and Literature, Music, Headlines and History, and Miscellaneous. G-Cubed trivia questions are written to be challenging, interesting and FUN! They need to be appealing to students and yet imaginative and insightful to fit the needs of each elementary teacher. Questions will be split into two or three levels of difficulty. The content for them comes from various sources such as books of lists, almanacs, a Guiness Book of World Records, television shows, pop culture magazines, and the children's section in local libraries. The "questions" are not written in the form of true inquiry, but can easily be matched up or finished off with one of three multiple choice answers that follow the questionative statement. w t:U';UIIJI;;: 1U r ru Lt::S:SUl 'P'ROFfSSOi CAilfifLi) ri:1gt:: \Ji:a.nJt;lU can ljOU 1 Ul 1 taKe tne mission z cnaLLenoe? f Join the Star Sl eeper Squad and find out \ Home I KB Kids I ScholarShop Options for Kids I SparkTop® I Star Sleeper I Reading Ring I Art-Bot About Us I For Parents I For Teachers I Contact Us I Privacy Policy http://beta.professorgarfield.comlpgChome.html 3/2112005 J:'age I 01 I SparkTop® and SparkTop.orgTM are trademarks of the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation Home ! Mexico Professor Garfield Web Site Student Feedback Upon the completion of my thesis, the Professor Garfield web site has not been launched for complete use by the public. Many educational activities are still being created and the content for these games is continually be produced and perfected. PAWs and The Professor Garfield Foundation have the goal of premiering the web site later this year at www.professorgarfield.com. Many parts of The Professor Garfield web site have been created and are up and running on an on-line beta site. The creators of the web site are primarily adults with degrees in the arts or computer technology, not the audience the web site targets. We decided that students and teachers need to view the web site and that their ideas and feedback would be important in creating activities that would be stimulating, fun and educational. I created a Student Feedback form to give to the fourth grade classroom I student taught in. Students will explore Professor Garfield's Laboratory as they perform a series of seven challenges. By following the directions listed in their Feedback booklet, they will discover and play the games that have been created by The Professor Garfield Foundation. Throughout this process, students and teachers are asked a variety of questions in order to gain an insight to the wishes and needs of each participant. This information is extremely important as we strive to meet the goal of becoming the most visible and highly trafficked free educational web site in the world. B A L L\8ISTATE & U N 1 V E R SIT Y.
