Welcome!
For current links and more information about services
described below, see drexel.edu/irt/students.
Networking
Residence Halls 1 Gbps Wired Internet
If you can, set up the wired jack in your room; it’s much faster than
a wireless connection. Use an Ethernet cable to connect your
computer to the lower left jack in your room, browse to any page,
and follow the directions to register and activate the jack. Do this
before connecting game consoles and other devices.
Campus Wireless Network
DragonFly3, Drexel’s wireless network, offers the
highest bandwidth and security, fewer restrictions, and
relief from competing radio interference. To get set up
while on-campus, connect to the DrexelGuest network,
start your browser, browse to any page, and click the
DragonFly Installation Wizard link from the Guest
Network home page.
Accounts
Your computer accounts, accessed with your Drexel
credentials (your userid is your initials followed by
a number), provide access to email, Web services,
wireless, and more. Use the accounts management
system at accounts.drexel.edu to pick up accounts,
check your University ID number, forward your Drexel
email if desired, and reset your password. Keep your
security questions and answers up-to-date so that you
can use the password reset service if you need it.
Email
Your Drexel email is a critical means of communication
at the University. Check it (via mail.drexel.edu,
DrexelOne, an email client, or your mobile device), or
have it forwarded to another account. Each account
has a basic storage quota of 100 MB. You MUST
maintain your Drexel account within the quota.
DrexelOne and DrexelOne Mobile
In the DrexelOne Web portal (one.drexel.edu), you
can access registration, schedules, courses, grades, ePortfolios,
eBills, and much more. The DrexelOne Mobile app provides
access to much of the same information on Android, iOS, and
Windows Phone devices--just visit the app store for your phone.
For more information, see drexel.edu/irt/students.
Computers & Software
Need a new computer? See IRT’s buying guide for general
recommendations and discount information. Be sure to check
your college’s Web site for any additional specifications related to
special applications.
Some instructors require students to use specific programs for
coursework. Drexel provides free, licensed software (such as
Sophos Endpoint Anti-Virus Protection) and discounted software.
Find licensed software on Drexel’s software server at
software.drexel.edu. Find discounted software through
eAcademy and JourneyEd. Access these sites under the
“Campus+Community” tab in the “Hardware and Software”
channel in DrexelOne.
Drexel Learn and Learn Mobile
Many courses use Drexel Learn, an online course environment
for content delivery and communication. Taking an online course
or a course with an online component? Access the course via the
“Academics” tab in DrexelOne or sign in directly at
learn.drexel.edu. To access your course with a mobile device,
install the free Blackboard Learn Mobile App from your device’s
app store (iOS and Android). For Learn support, email itg@
drexel.edu or call 215-895-1224 (press “2” for 24/7 line support).
TV Service
Drexel provides Comcast cable TV in Drexel-owned residence
halls. Additionally, residents in these buildings can participate in
Xfinity on Campus to stream channels to popular smartphones
and tablets. For more information, see drexel.edu/irt/students.
Phone Service
Students who live in Drexel-owned residence halls and who
require a landline telephone may request this optional service at
telephone-request@drexel.edu.
