Note :
1) To be eligible to graduate from the course students must have completed a minimum of 80 days of satisfactory teaching practice.
2) To receive the awards of Bachelor of Visual Arts and Bachelor of Education, a student must successfully complete units totalling
204 points, consisting of:
(a) Studies in Education (108 points) including a series of units relating to the theory and practice of education, teaching and
curriculum. For information on prerequisites required for the Teaching Specialisms, visit

(b) Studies in Visual Arts (96 points) including:
(i) Discipline Major Visual Arts Studio — a major core study of 48pts, comprising 12pts at year one level and at least 36pts at
year two and three level. Students select one of the following major studies:
Ceramics, glass, metals/jewellery, painting studio, photo-media studio, print-media studio, sculpture studio, tapestry studio, visual
arts studio or theory of art & design*. (* if combined with 12pts of studio art [practical])
(ii) ** Students in first year Visual Arts must be concurrently enrolled in OHS1000 (0 credit points), which is a compulsory unit
in all Visual Arts degrees and must be completed in first semester, first year.
