Lisa Mitchell Bukstein Award Purpose Barry and Lisa Bukstein, through the Lisa Mitchell Charitable Foundation, provide the College of Education with an annual gift to be used to assist junior faculty members with their professional development. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide a tenure-track assistant professor with funds to advance the educational experience of the recipient. Eligibility All full-time, non-tenured faculty members in the College of Education who are in tenure track positions and within their first four years in rank are eligible to be considered for the scholarship. Procedure One candidate may be nominated from each academic department. Each nominated candidate will then submit a proposal outlining the purposes and intended uses for the grant funds if awarded. Selection The established College of Education Faculty Development Committee will convene to review the proposals and to select the faculty member to receive the grant. This award is announced each year at the annual COE Faculty Honors and Awards Reception in April. The award is provided to the recipient in the fall. Nomination The nomination application consists of a brief (one or two pages) description of the project to be conducted. Here is a suggested outline you may wish to follow: 1. Project Title 2.
