CONSTITUTION
Article 1.
STEM Research Club
Article II.
The purpose of this organization is to gather all QCC students and faculty
in the STEM discipline involved in research together to discuss their
individual research fmdings. Expose QCC research students to different
fields of science. Organize talks from distinguished guests in the scientific
community. Organize events for other QCC students and faculty and
increase awareness of the sciences and showcase all QCC labs.
Article III.
Membership: All QCC students currently involved in research on or off
campus or QCC STEM students who want to be potentially involved in
research in near future can become a member. Students must talk to any
faculty member who might be involved in research on campus and ask to
become a member of the STEM Research Club.
No person shall be denied membership or office in this organization
because of race, color, religious beliefs, veteran, handicapped status or
sexual orientation.
Article IV.
Section 1.
Officers:
President: Duties include overseeing the club activities weekly or as
required including organizing special events during the semester and
making sure all the college guidelines are being met. Supervise VP &
Senator.
Vice President: Duties include assisting the president in all the weekly
club duties as well as special events. Duties also include assuming charge
if the club President is not present.
Senator: Duties include following the QCC Student Association guidelines
and adhering to the rules and regulations as well as budget of the club.

Election Procedures:
At least 10 club members must be present to vote for the above mentioned
officer positions and the officers will be voted by the majority vote.
Meetings
STEM Research Club should aim to meet every week during regular club
hours during the regular college Spring and Fall semester.
Amendment Procedures
Should there be any need for amendments, they must be proposed in one
of the weekly meetings and at least 10 club members must be present to
vote for the amendment to pass by majority vote.
Article VII.
Ratification
This constitution and all amendments to it must be approved by the
appropriate governing body - QSA Student Senate.
Article VIII.
Conduct of Meetings
Most meetings are conducted accordingly to Robert's Rules of Order,
although moderate rather than strict parliamentary procedures are
normally followed.
