Neurointerventionalist Faculty Position
(One Assistant Professor)
The Department of Neurology at the University of South Alabama is seeking an academic neurologist at
the rank of Assistant Professor to expand our active interventional vascular and stroke programs. Our
stroke center has a robust infrastructure and receives referrals for stroke, aneurysms and AVMs from
the entire Gulf region and has recently received the top tier awards (Gold Plus, and Target stroke Honor
Roll Elite Plus) from the American Heart/Stroke association. The candidate will be expected to have a
strong academic interest with BE/BC in Neurology, Stroke and Neurointervention and will join our BC
neurointerventionalist. The Department of Neurology strongly supports academic career development.
Mobile is a coastal city that offers multiple cultural opportunities and recreation. It is close to beautiful
beaches and bays, with very affordable living. Several new industries, including Airbus, have recently
located to the area, offering robust growth of our economy.
