Fraud Investigator
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will work in the Yadkin County Human Services Agency
in the benefits section. Responsibilities of this position include the investigation of
complaints and allegations in which Food and Nutrition Services and Medicaid recipients
have provided incorrect information to the agency. By doing that the recipient may have
committed fraud. Upon completion of investigations this position will be responsible for
determining an unsubstantiated referral, an agency error, an inadvertent household error or
a potential program violation. This position also requires the ability to organize an
administrative hearing with the agency hearing officer. This position will be responsible for
collections actions as well as keying referrals and claims into the state EPICS system as
well as working and maintaining all agency program integrity reports. Perform other job
duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: An applicant must have the ability to read, analyze, interpret data and
information and apply rules, regulations and policies and procedures. Applicant must also
possess strong organizational skills and be able to work independently. Successful
applicant must also have sound interpersonal and communication skills. Work hours are
Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Graduate and two years’ experience as an
Income Maintenance Case Worker with a Department of Social Services. Strong knowledge
of Medicaid and Food Stamp policy and procedures. Applicant must have experience is
working in the NCFast system as well as experience in EIS and FIS state systems.
Salary Range: $29,925.00 - $44,888.00
