We meet that objective by providing intentional and focused outreach to our population, while assisting our students with admissions, career services, financial aid/benefits, benefit certification, academic advisement, outside agency referrals, and other areas that may arise. A. Assist students with the benefit application, as well as any concerns as they go through the initial, continuing, or any appeals processes with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. Notifications made through email blast from our office, by phone, and regular mail. During advisement we discuss benefits, class/major selection, and career/employment opportunities, other areas as they arise. Students utilizing this benefit often need assistance managing or locating resources as they apply for these benefits. We assist with the initial stages of the application process with follow-up as needed.
