DEPARTMENT CHANGES, 2014-2015 Type Personnel Description of Change Although personnel levels have increased they remain in a state of flux due to member retirement and/or departure from the service for positions with other law enforcement agencies. The department’s staff consists of 1 Director, 2 Lieutenant/Assistant Directors, 5 Sergeants, 24 Campus Peace Officer and 19 CSA’s. One CPO was designated to Corporal. These positions enhance supervision within the department, as well as provide and enticement for members to advance their careers, thus improving morale and as an incentive for enhanced performance. Reason for Change To help ensure prompt and professional response to calls for service and to provide more proactive patrols. Date/Semester Fall 2015 Evaluation of Change* On-going Queensborough Community College Equipment Equipment Non-teaching Department, Part A CCTV cameras were installed to monitor additional areas in the Library, the War Memorial, the “W” building, Front Gate Administrative building and Public Safety. Additional cameras continue to be installed as needed. Installation of a centralized computer controlled access control system on certain of the primary building entrances, as well as associated video surveillance cameras. 2014-2015 Academic Year To provide expanded video surveillance to vital campus areas.
