Job Description
Position: Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministry
Closing date for receipt of application: Open until filled
Salary: In accordance with Diocesan guidelines
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Newport News, VA seeks a full time Coordinator of Youth and
Young Adult Ministry as part of their catechetical team. This candidate will be responsible for the
comprehensive catechesis of middle and high school students, including parish, regional and
diocesan youth ministry events. This position is also responsible for coordinating fellowship and
events for the young adults of the parish. Full job description available upon request

Qualifications: The applicant must be a practicing Catholic in good standing. A Masters degree in
Theology, Religious Education, Youth Ministry or similar field preferred but Bachelor's degree with
