Committees are forming to help shape the new act
The Workforce Board is committed to an open and inclusive process of gathering input
and recommendations toward designing the state's new WIOA system. The co-chairs
for the WIOA Steering Committee and the three subcommittees have been named:
Steering Committee:

Key features of WIOA:




Applies one set of accountability metrics to every federal workforce program
under the bill.
Requires states to produce one strategic plan on how they will provide training,
employment services, adult education & vocational rehabilitation.
Strengthens alignment between local workforce areas, labor markets, and
economic development regions.
Strengthens evaluation and data reporting requirements.*
