High school diploma or equivalent Valid Florida CDL, Class B/Air Brakes license required Three years experience as Maintenance Warehouseman II Ability to demonstrate computer skills use applicable software Experience in purchasing Operation of material handling equipment required Demonstrates aptitude and competency for assigned responsibilities Ability to participate and oversee the work of helpers, Warehouse Person I and II and the Computer Operator in the Maintenance Warehouse Considerable knowledge of the materials, tools and equipment used by the trade of the maintenance department. Physically fit for the demands of the job as determined by a Board approved physician. Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions and apply them in a productive manner. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *1. To demonstrate the ability to represent the Maintenance Department and the District in a cooperative and professional manner when working on a school site or dealing with the public. *2. To unload, document and inspect all freight arriving at the maintenance warehouse. *3. To store and place items into inventory according to established procedures. *4. To assist in processing and delivery of requisitioned items. Responsible for authorized signature and documentation of deliveries. *5. To oversee a variety of routine purchasing transactions. *6. To oversee the periodic and annual inventory. *7. To oversee the operation of the Maintenance Department tool crib, sign-out of tools, sign-in of tools. Warehouse Person III Page 2 *8. To maintain tool inventory list for each mechanic *9. To assist in the training of new department personnel in work and safety procedures. *10. To properly use and maintain District vehicles and equipment. *11. To observe all safe work practices when using tools, equipment and chemicals. 12. To perform assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner. 13. To perform assigned tasks with a high standard of quality. 14. To perform such other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
