JOB GOAL
To contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the technology programs of all schools
and district departments in the installation and on-going use of hardware, software and network
technology.

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Educational experience preferred.
Knowledge of installing, updating and supporting NOVELL, or Windows NT with Menuing.
Knowledge in Ethernet and Token-Ring environments.
Knowledge of IBM mainframe in a WAN and connectivity to LAN’s.
Ability to perform essential functions of the job.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To provide technical support for hardware and software installation/upgrades.
To perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.

To upgrade network hardware and software components as required.

To install, upgrade, and/or configure networks for printers, directory structures, rights,
security, and software on file servers.

To support networks at all schools within zone through maintenance of hardware.
*6.
To offer ongoing support for ILS as well as other software.

To provide assistance to schools with teacher training, and keep the Human Resource
Development Center informed as to request for and training available in technology.

To provide users with network technical support.

To serve as a resource to Principals in the use of Technology by zone assignment.
To keep abreast of new technologies and brief his/her Manager and Principals on their
appropriateness to District.
