JOB GOAL

To serve as a liaison between the St. Lucie County roundtable and the St. Lucie County

School District to ensure the Kids at Hope principles are being implemented with fidelity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree.

2. Kids at Hope Certified Trainer preferred.

3. Kids at Hope trained.

4. Experience working in an inter-agency environment.

5. School/Community agency experience.

6. Experience in training others/professional development.

7. Ability to perform the functions of the position.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Knowledge of and familiarity with St. Lucie County Public Schools.

2. Excellent communication skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Serve as a communication resource for district staff regarding trainings, meetings, distribution of resources, school needs, etc.

2. Participate in meetings with Roundtable staff to: a. Communicate the specific needs of schools and the fidelity of the Kids at Hope principles. b. Work together to problem solve issues. c. Coordinate additional trainings (ex: specific to the needs of schools, Train the

Trainer, Mini-Masters, Kids at Hope Report Cards/ACES/Passports, bus drivers, etc.). d. Ensure material availability. e. Collaborate with the Roundtable Community Coordinator to increase community involvement in Kids at Hope schools.

3. Adhere to and follow the St. Lucie County School District’s Five Year Kids at Hope

Plan.

4. Coordinate all district trainings with the Professional Development Department.

5. Provide continual Module 1 trainings throughout the school year for district employees to attend.

6. Provide training for all new teachers to the district.

7. Maintain and update the district Kids at Hope website and SHARE links; compile and update ideas resources, data and articles for all St. Lucie County employees.

8. Assist school in the training and implementation of the ACES tracking data.

9. Support new school-based kids at Hope teams by attending meetings (as needed): such as creating school-wide events, etc.

10. Coordinate progress monitoring, with designated school personnel for the implementation of the Gallup Poll for all schools grades 5-12.

11. Invite schools to voluntary forums to discuss Kids at Hope progress, success stories, ideas, issues/concerns, etc.

12. Represent the district as the liaison with the Academic Success Network of St. Lucie

County.

13. Analyze survey data results compiled by ASN and Gallup Polls to determine effectiveness of Kids at Hope cultures in our schools, compare to non-Kids at Hope schools, and determine plan of action based on given results and analysis.

14. Provide parent trainings during evening hours as needed.
