It has 10 colleges (Liberal Arts, Economics, Science, Sociology, Law, Tourism, Community & Human Services, Psychology, Intercultural Communication and Business) offering both undergraduate and graduate programs, and enrolling about 20,000 undergraduate and 900 graduate students. It has two campuses: The Ikebukuro campus, -1- located in the center of Tokyo, is the home to College of Business and six other colleges, while the Niiza campus, about 30 minutes westward by train in the neighboring Saitama prefecture, is home to the colleges of Tourism, Community & Human Services, and Psychology. Spring Semester: April 1st 2014 to July 31st 2014 Fall Semester: September 1st2014 to February 28th 2015 Academic year Note: If classes/registration for the following (new) term resume at your home institution before the final class at Rikkyo in January, students can make special arrangements to leave Rikkyo after their final class in December. It is the responsibility of the student to check assessed grade penalty and/or requirements such as additional assignments before course registration. This special arrangement does not hold for courses offered by Master in International Business, other Colleges, courses offered in Japanese in the College of Business, and University General Curriculum courses. Hence, if you plan to leave in December, you should not enroll for these courses. Most courses outside of COB are offered in Japanese. Certain conditions apply. Courses outside the College of Business (Available for incoming exchange) Colleges of Arts, Economics, Science, Social Relations, Law and Politics, Tourism, Community & Human Services, Contemporary Psychology and Intercultural Communication in addition to the College of Business. International Dormitory Rikkyo University provides Rikkyo University International Dormitory and as the accommodation for special international students in cooperation with Kyoritsu Maintenance Co. Ltd. The rooms are all single and equipped with built-in bathroom/shower room, toilet, and kitchenette. All the rooms are furnished and a range of shared facilities are also provided. The residence fee is 214,800 yen for the spring semester, 322,200 yen for the fall semester, and 590,700 yen for a year (11 months). Visa Requirements All foreign students must apply for a student visa prior to arrival. After noticed of acceptance by Rikkyo, students must wait to receive the acceptance letter and the Certificate of Eligibility, and then apply VISA with them.
