State Level Steering Committee
This initiative is coordinated by the WV
Early Childhood Transition Steering
Committee. This committee’s mission is to
develop strategies that build the capacity of
local communities related to transition policy
and practice. Participating state and local

PURPOSE
WV Birth to Three System, Head Start,
public schools, and child care programs
all have important roles to play in
transitioning young children ages birth to
five years and their families from one
program or service to another. This
brochure contains information on
transition resources to help agencies
carry out these roles.

Early Childhood Training Conference
The statewide conference offers training
on a variety of early childhood topics for
parents, teachers, early interventionist,
child care providers, policy makers,
administrators, support personnel,
therapists, service personnel, health
care providers, educators, and other
interested community supporters. For

P TADPOLE Team Training This two
day training is offered to TADPOLE
Teams to help them:
