Interlocking Book Take two (or more) sheets of 8 ½ x 11 inch copy paper and fold both sheets in half (hamburger) to form a horizontal fold. Separate the sheets and lay one on the table. Cut a slit in the other one, starting at the end of the fold and moving in about an inch. Repeat the slit on the other end of the fold. For the other sheet, you will start about an inch from the edge of the fold and cut to about an inch from the other edge of the paper, creating a horizontal slit in the center of the paper. Roll the first sheet into a tube, making sure that the slits are parallel to the floor. Insert the sheet through the sheet with the center slit and let it unroll. The end slits will interlock to form a book that will be held together without staples. Denise White, 2007
