Norbert Indlekofer CEO Automotive Schaeffler AG Norbert Indlekofer (b. 1958) studied mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart. In 1984, he began his professional career as a Test Engineer in ZF Friedrichshafen’s Automobile Manual Transmissions Department, of which he ultimately became the Director. In 1989, Norbert Indlekofer joined LuK, where he was responsible for Testing and Prototyping. In 1991, he became Chairman of the Management Board of LuK Transmission Systems. As Member of the Management Board of LuK in 1993, he was successively responsible for Automotive Hydraulic Systems (Europe) and Operations. In 2004, he became Chairman of the Management Board Transmission and Chassis Systems of Schaeffler Group. Since 2006, he has additionally been Chairman of the Management Board of LuK. When the company’s legal entity changed to Schaeffler AG in 2011, he assumed the position of Member of the Executive Board Automotive responsible for the Transmission Systems Business Division. Since January 2014, he has held the position of CEO Automotive and is responsible for the Transmission Systems, Automotive Aftermarket, and Research and Development Business Divisions for the Automotive Division.
