Prof. KR Ing. Siegfried Wolf Schaeffler AG Supervisory Board Member After completing secondary education, Siegfried Wolf trained as a tool and die-maker. He continued his professional training through the stages of master craftsman and foreman up to obtaining an engineering degree. From 1981 – 1983 Wolf worked as quality manager and assistant director of quality control at "Vereinigte Metallwerke Wien" (VMW, a Vienna-based aluminium die-casting company). Siegfried Wolf then joined Hirtenberger AG, where he advanced from Director for quality control to General Manager and Vice President. In 1994, Wolf joined Magna Europe, where he held a number of senior executive positions during the following years (1994 – 1999 President Magna Europe AG; 1999 – 2001 President Magna Europe AG and Vice Chairman of Magna International Inc.; 2001 – 2002 President & CEO of Magna Steyr AG; 2002 – 2005 Vice Chairman of the Executive Board, Magna International Inc.). From 2005 – 2010 Siegfried Wolf was CEO of Magna International Inc. Wolf is credited with turning Magna Europe from almost nothing into a major player in the European automotive supply industry. Since 2010 Siegfried Wolf serves as the Chairman of the Board of Russian Machines Corporation. In 2002 Siegfried Wolf was awarded the title of Honorary Senator of the Technical University of Vienna and in 2009 the title of Honorary Professor of the Technical University of Graz. In addition to his position on the Schaeffler AG Supervisory Board, Siegfried Wolf also sits on the boards of Russian Machines LLC, OJSC GAZ Group, Banque Eric Sturdza SA, MIBA Group, Sberbank Europe AG and Continental AG. On the Schaeffler AG Supervisory Board, he is also a member of the Executive Committee.
