Dr. Holger Engelmann
Schaeffler AG Supervisory Board Member and
Webasto SE Executive Board Chairman
After completing secondary school, Dr. Holger Engelmann studied business administration at Wilhelms
University in Muenster from 1985 to 1987. After spending one year in the U.S., he continued his studies at the
University of Cologne from 1988 to 1990, finishing with a degree in business administration. Dr. Holger
Engelmann completed his doctoral studies in economics at the University of Cologne in 1993.
He then worked for the Mannesmann subsidiary Fichtel und Sachs (now ZF Friedrichshafen) from 1993 to
1998. Dr. Holger Engelmann’s tasks there included corporate planning, and he was the Manager of the
Project Controlling and Investment Projects Department.
Before he joined Webasto, Dr. Holger Engelmann held various management positions at Mannesmann
Plastics Machinery from 1998 to 2007, most recently as the CFO of the corporate group.
Since mid-2008, Dr. Holger Engelmann has been heading up the Roof & Components corporate unit at
Webasto SE as its chairman, after having come into the company as its Chief Financial Officer in 2007.
From 2010 to 2012, Dr. Holger Engelmann was the Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of Webasto SE
before becoming its Chairman at the beginning of 2013.
Since 2014, he has been a member of the Schaeffler AG Supervisory Board and its nominating committee.
Dr. Holger Engelmann is member of the Board of Directors of Webasto Roof Systems China Ltd., Hong Kong,
China, and is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Webasto Thermo & Comfort SE, Gilching.
