ABSTRACT
The left (binding) margin of the thesis should be 1.5 inches and the other three margins
1.0 inch. The text should be double spaced 12 point Times New Roman and follow
standard format for your discipline. Thus the body of a Mathematics Thesis might be
composed in a LaTex, a Social Science Thesis would follow APA format, Humanities
Thesis would follow MLA format, and Chemistry Thesis might use American Chemical
Society conventions.
The Abstract follows the title page and is numbered in lower case Greek starting with “ii”
in the bottom center of the page. If the Abstract is one page, the Table of Contents on the
following page would be “iii.”
The Table of Contents should reflect the overall organization of the thesis. DO NOT use
bold or larger fonts for headings.
The body of the text is numbered with Arabic numerals in the upper right hand corner
starting with “1.”
The last page of the document contains Candidate Information as is shown in this
document.
