Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) General Guidance Document
MOUs provide the framework for effective linkages and are essential tools for successful
partnerships. However, what works for one organization may not be effective for
another. Some components may be essential, while others may be less useful in a
particular situation. Create your MOU with your program’s individual needs in mind. If
you need assistance contact the Barry Kelly or Pat Johnson. Please submit a scanned
copy of all formalized and signed agreements (with signatures) to the Office of Adult
Education for our files.

organization and a potential partner.
