The Emerson Intelligent Foundation™ Firmware for servers, storage and networks is
the most advanced manageability software development kit (SDK) currently made
available to OEMs, ODMs and integrators. Emerson continues the legacy of the
Avocent MergePoint™ Embedded Management Software while adding significant
feature improvements that address security, scalability and modularity that the
modern market demands. The firmware can address the needs of hyperscale/
webscale, enterprise and SMB customers with a minimum of customization.

Emerson’s Avocent® KVM (keyboard, video and mouse) solutions have been
technology leaders in providing bandwidth-efficient yet beautiful hardware-based
remote presence for out-of-band server management. The remote presence
capabilities included in the firmware including gorgeous 24bit color full HD
resolution quality video with up to 30 frames per second and remote vMedia support
allowing seamless access, provisioning and management at any distance.
