Class Feud – TR 1
GRADE 6 LESSON 30
Instructions for Class Feud:
1. The class is divided into two teams.
2. Students are seated with their teams on opposite sides of the room.
3. Students work as a team to select a team name and post it on the white
board or chart paper.
4. Each student team selects a team captain or determines a rotation to take
turns answering questions for the team.
5. Each team selects a team scorer. The scorer may participate with the
team when discussing answers, but will primarily monitor and record
scores.
6. The teacher explains rules for the game as follows:
o The teacher will read each question aloud.
o The team captain will raise a hand if the team wishes to try to
answer. The teacher calls on the student whose hand goes up first.
o The answering team will confer with the team captain and decide
on the answer to the question. The answering team must answer
within five seconds.
o If the team misses a question, the other team has the opportunity to
“steal” the question. If the team wants to try to answer the question,
that team must answer within five seconds. If the team steals the
question and answers it correctly, the team gets the point.
However, if the team steals the question but gets it wrong, the other
team is offered the chance to steal it back.
o The game continues through questions as time permits or for a
designated number of questions.
7. The teacher uses Class Feud Questions on the next page or other
questions related to the lesson.
