Biographical Note / Historical Note / Administrative History
University College was founded in 1985 and is an interdisciplinary, collaborative academic unit that
offers student-centered programs and services that enhance students’ success in their transition to the
university environment. The college assists students in their studies at Ball State through personalized
academic advising, peer tutoring programs, and other academic support services. The University College
coordinates the Learning Center, the University Core Curriculum, and the Office of Academic Systems.
Scope and Contents
This collection includes planning documents, newsletters, and administrative documents from the
University College program at Ball State University ranging from 1980-2007.
