Identify Environmental Impacts
1. This exercise helps you identify POSSIBLE impacts that you need to find more information about
2. Use your own knowledge and experience and also refer to the table on page 53 in CEDRA.
– Modify, delete, or add to those on the list
3. Draw a problem tree showing the likely CC/ED causes (roots), impacts (branches), and consequences
(fruit)
4. You can start adding the CC/ED impacts onto the CEDRA table
--------------------On the CEDRA Report Template:
5. Write in the 1st column the different sectors each of your agencies work in
6. In the second column write the different generic project types your agencies do in that sector
7. Refer to the table on page 53 in CEDRA on likely environmental and climate impacts
8. In the third column write the likely climate change and environmental degradation impacts on those
project types – these will change as you do your research and community consultation
9. Modify/ change the environmental impacts to those you think are more likely
10. DO NOT fill in columns D, E, F or G at this stage
