Administrative History
The Ball State University Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs was established
in the 1979-1980 academic year. In order to support the new position, the Office of the Assistant to the
Provost was also established. Later, the position was renamed Assistant Provost and then Associate
Provost. During the period of transition, the positiobs if Assistant Provost and Associate Provost existed
simultaneously. Records from both of the positions are included in this collection.
Scope and Contents
This collection includes records from the Office of the Associate Provost at Ball State University in
Muncie, Indiana ranging from 1967 to 2006 regarding students, tenure, staffing, and accreditation.
