THE "PEOPLE'S LAWYER" RICHARD ALDERMAN RETURNS TO LONE STAR COLLEGE-CYFAIR OCT. 20
CYPRESS, TX - Get to know your rights with “People’s Lawyer” Richard Alderman when he returns Oct.
20 for another free People’s Law School community event at Lone Star College-CyFair.
Alderman appears regularly as the “People’s Lawyer” on radio and television, is author of the 8th edition
of the book “Know Your Rights” and has a syndicated newspaper column also title “Know Your Rights.”
Currently the associate dean at the University of Houston Law Center and holder of the Dwight Olds
Chair in Law, he also serves as the director of the Center for Consumer Law. The American Bar
Association and the State Bar of Texas have also honored Alderman twice with their highest honor for
his work in educating the public about the law.
Seating is limited and online advance registration is required at www.peopleslawyer.net starting Oct. 13.
Presentations will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Conference Center at LSC-CyFair, located at 9191
Barker Cypress.
Community members can choose to attend two of the four sessions: Consumer Law for Buying/Selling
Goods and Services; Wills/Probate for Planning for Serious Illness or Death; Landlord/Tenant for Renting
Apartments or Homes and Credit and Debt Collection for Managing Financial Matters.
This free event is presented by the University of Houston Law Center - Center for Consumer Law.
Cosponsoring this event are the LSC-CyFair Branch Friends of the Library, LSC-CyFair Branch Library and
LSC-CyFair Political Science Club.
