ARTS & HUMANITIES: (20 hours) Coursework in the Arts and Humanities involve evaluating significant writing and works of art. Such studies develop capacities for aesthetic and historical response and judgment; interpretation and evaluation; critical listening, reading, seeing, thinking, and writing; and experiencing the arts and reflecting on that experience. This category contains the International Issues requirement and is divided into two subcategories: “Western/ United States” and “Non-Western/Non-United States.” International Issues coursework helps students become educated, productive, and principled citizens of their nation in an increasingly globalized world.
