Terms of Employment:
This is an unpaid position is part-time for Summer 2013 semester.
 Number of hours per week is flexible.
 Exact dates are flexible; however, must be available the week of August 19-24, 2013.
 Exact hours are flexible; however, must be available on Fridays and preferably over the
noon hour.

Orientation .
Background Information:
The International Students and Scholars Office assists international students and scholars in
their transition to campus from their home countries and in their daily campus activities while
they are enrolled or conduct teaching/research on campus.
Position Description:



Advise international students on cultural, immigration, and personal concerns
Develop and implement new international student orientation program
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
 Candidate must be a full-time degree-seeking student in a graduate program
 Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00
 Advising and/or counseling skills
 Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of students
 Social media skills including Facebook, Twitter, and others
 Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
 Design skills
 Editing skills
 Time management skills
 Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher
 Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technology
