Block 3. Domain Social Clubs (370 grants) A social club is a student association based on a feeling of togetherness, atmosphere and offering a friendly home base with their own house/club, established along accepted lines with regards to organization structure, aims, and activities. The association is completely independent and open to all students irrespective of their study program and nationality. 1. Fixed grants In the domain of Social Clubs, the number of memberships determines a fixed number of grants. The reference date is 31 January of the academic year in question. Proof of number of members is to be submitted with the realization. Grants are awarded according to the scheme below: Number of members 0-100 101-200 201-400 401-500 501-600 601-700 701-800 Etc. Number of grants 27 36 45 63 72 81 90 Additional 9 Social Clubs receive a relatively high number of fixed grants because they all have a number of permanent activities such as a bar committee, succession committee, and a society. In addition, each association hosts one main event (Plato: Tilburg Student Festival; Olof: Hockey League, I*ESN: board dinner; Vidar: Tilburg University Cantus). 2. Variable grants The variable grants are based on a point system and should be applied for every year. To apply for points for variable grants, proof of a committee needs to be provided. The associations fill in the application form on the basis of criteria (tick which criteria apply). a) Criteria: activities/ events o Attendance ≤ 50 o Attendance 51-150 o Attendance ≥151 o Positive media attention o International target group / promoting integration o ≥ 2 days b) Criteria: excursion/trip o 2/3 days o 4/5 days o ≥6 days o National 1 o o o Within Europe Intercontinental Number of participants;……. c) Criteria: magazines o 1-4 issues o ≥5 issues o Number of pages…….. o Circulation:…….. 2
