On-Line Book Review Requirements
 The focus of your written response will be a critical
review of the book. You will be giving your opinion
of the book and offering support for your opinion.
You will not be merely giving a summary of what
you read.
 Your review will be written as a strong, organized
paragraph of at least 7-10 sentences. Your
paragraph must contain the following elements:
o Topic Sentence stating the title, author, and
your opinion of the book.
o Supporting details explaining why you did or
did not like the book.
o Clincher Sentence stating whether or not you
would recommend the book and to whom.
 Remember that your audience is the “Eastview
Community at Large.” You want to make sure the
language of your piece is appropriate and that you
edit your work very carefully.
