Department of Criminal Justice Presents
unexpected guest speaker
Over 450 students and faculty members attended the first Professional Development
Seminar of the 2012-2013 academic year.
Thomas Nathan Harmon, speaking on prisoner
re-entry, kept the students on their toes; for
the first time in PDS history, the CJC department hosted an Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC) Inmate.
Harmon was sentenced to five years in the
IDOC after his involvement in a tragic car accident, killing his passenger. For the past three
years, Harmon has been a motivational speaker
sharing his story of lessons learned and redemption.
