Students in the top 40% of their high school class may earn three college credits, fulfilling a public speaking requirement. The University of Minnesota governs the course. The focus of the course is on the process of crafting and delivering speeches, types of public speaking and oral discourse. A college-level speech text will be used and many formal speeches will be delivered during the course.
