Take all of the following: HPER 157 Outdoor Recreation 1 Offered both terms. Take FR or SO year! OL 107 Wilderness First Responder 2 Winter only. Take FR or SO year! OL 207 Intro to Outdoor Leadership 2 Fall only. Take as a SO, if you can! OL 307 Applied Outdoor Leadership 4 Spring only. Take no later than JR year! OL 407 Outdoor Leadership Seminar 1 Spring only. Typically a SR course. Take 1 of the pairings below: HPER 158 Rock Climbing (1) and then OL 308 Single Pitch Rock Instruction (2) These HPER’s are taught each Fall and or HPER 159 Coastal Sea Kayaking (1) and then OL 309 Coastal Sea Kayaking Instruction (2) the OL’s each Spring.
