Course: Instructors: International Corporate Compliance Ryan McConnell, Meagan Baker, Stephanie Bustamante CONTENT: Corporate compliance, one of the fastest growing markets for legal services, addresses the problems of organizations struggling to manage risk ranging from corruption to data privacy. This class will teach you the process involved in addressing compliance risk and how to integrate compliance processes into a business. We will discuss a number of substantive compliance areas, but the goal of the class is to teach you how to develop a risk based approach to solve compliance problems. You may not bring a laptop or use any other electronic device during this class. GRADE: The grade in this class will be based on four take home tests. You must handwrite your answers to these tests and submit them the morning of the class after they are handed out with the exception of the final take home test, which will be due on January 14. ATTENDANCE: There are seven classes. You must attend each class. If you will miss a class, you must notify the instructors. PARTICIPATION: This class will be based on compliance scenarios and group exercises. Class participation is required and constitutes up to 10% of your grade.
