This proposal will verify the operation of the spare IR channel calsystem tungsten lamp. A baseline image set will be established by obtaining one
internal flatfield in each IR filter using the channel's spare lamp, plus one dark in each of the different sample sequence types used.

OBSERVING DESCRIPTION
Part of side switch activities.
One internal flatfield will be taken in each IR filter using the spare tungsten lamp for the IR channel along with one dark in each of the sample
sequences employed. This will provide an initial set of flatfields for comparing to thermal-vacuum ground test data and to later on-orbit data.
CALIBRATION JUSTIFICATION
Flatfield illumination patterns will be analyzed and compared to previous ground test results to check for any changes in filter structures, vignetting
within field, etc. The flux level of the tungsten lamp will be compared to previous ground test results to verify performance of the bulb. Data will be
used, along with internal flats and darks from other proposals, to generate updates for calibration pipeline flatfield reference files.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Special Commanding is used to specify a non-nominal tungsten lamp. Tungsten lamp exposures need to be contained between S/C exposures, which
both specify the Special Commanding Instruction EITLAMP. The first S/C exposure is used to turn the non-nominal lamp on by specifiying
QESIPARMs: LAMPWR=ON and the LAMP=<see below>. Similarly, the last S/C exposure is used to turn the non-nominal lamp off by specifying
QESIPARMs: LAMPWR=OFF and LAMP=<same value as in the 1st exposure>. Special Commanding QESIPARM syntax to use the IR detector
and LAMP:
IR01 to use lamp 1,
IR02 to use lamp 2,
IR03 to use lamp 3,
IR04 to use lamp 4,
IR13 to use lamps 1 & 3,
IR24 to use lamps 2 & 4.
