Requests for Reprint and Copyright Release Thank you for your interest in the work of the Police Foundation. To facilitate your request for permission to reprint or copy the materials of the Police Foundation in whole or part, please provide your request in writing. All requests must include the following: 1. A detailed description of the material to be reprinted or copied (e.g., full text, figure #, page, screenshot, etc.). If the entire content of the publication will not be reprinted or copied, please specify what portion(s) of the material will be reprinted or copied. 2. The manner and audience for which the material will be used. Please provide specifics of the publication or other medium where the material will appear and please indicate the audience that will receive the material. For texts and other works in development, please provide a description including title, publisher, etc. For websites and online publications, please provide a description and web address. 3. The specific manner in which you intend to provide attribution for the material’s author (if not the Police Foundation) and the manner in which you intend to indicate that permission to reuse has been granted, by providing the proposed citation and/or reference you intend to us. An example of one acceptable method is “Reprinted with permission of the Police Foundation, Washington, D.C. www.policefoundation.org” Please send your request on official letterhead (if an organizational request) via U.S. Mail and/or electronic mail to the following address: Police Foundation ATTN: Communications Department/Copyright Release 1201 Connecticut Avenue, NW Suite 201 Washington, D.C. 20036 info@policefoundation.org The Police Foundation will respond to your request within 2 business days of receipt and may request additional information before granting the requested permission. Permission will be granted in writing, via letter and/or electronic mail.
