PC does hang up often and “moves like molasses.” Cashier’s software can be extremely slow when posting payments. MS Word also very slow when using. Needs a faster processor to keep up with demands and time constraints. Web & SIS+ access takes longer than her co-workers (who have to wait for her to catch up to them). Memory is an issue and periodic freezing requires rebooting. PC is slow and hinders getting work accomplished. Combinations of software (such as, SIS, Arnold, Outlook, Look, Netscape, etc.) are hard to use. Needs more RAM. This front reception office computer is slower than the other office pcs. Sometimes freezes up--possibly due to the software running on it and/or its old age. PC has no more memory to use. Freezes up when printing. Has to wait until printing is complete before moving on. Some print jobs do not print until pc is in shut down mode. PC takes 4.5 minutes to boot up and shut down. Incurring frequent DOS OE exception errors which requires time-consuming rebooting and scanning. Because there is no memory, Outlook software cannot be used. Would like newer operating system (currently using WIN 95). Needs more space for MS ACCESS applications. PC too slow to be efficient—especially when working with software programs like Word or WP. Would like an internal zip drive or R/W CD ROM for backup purposes. Freezes up enough times to be an annoyance. Would like a pc with working speakers. PC locks up sometimes. Unable to run multiple programs simultaneously. PC crashes more and more. Some projects are a bit slower than others. Each pc has only 32 MB of RAM. Extremely slow, unreliable, and underpowered. Have difficulty running 3 or more programs. Can’t have SIS+, Arnold and Netscape open if WordPerfect, Word, or Outlook needs to be used. Systems shut down with fatal error messages. Office 2000 barely runs. Takes a long time for pcs to boot up. Work performance is hindered due to sluggishness of these old pcs.
